Gingerbread ornaments
Slowly, the apartment is starting to look a little more festive. Today I made these gingerbread ornaments using this recipe. My ornaments look a little… rustic. Maybe it was because I didn’t have white glue to make the normal recipe. Or maybe because I didn’t have a rolling pin to properly roll out the dough.
At any rate, they baked for 1.5 hours and made the apartment small like spice world. Mmmm.

Bel Fiore window

Here’s that fun green shop window from Bel Fiore here in Ottawa. Shamrocks, green apples and forsythia (I think in the background). I love those green apples floating in tall vases.

Spring showers and flowers
I found this link to House Martin via the Something Old, Something New blog. This reminds me that I should get a photo of Bel Fiore’s latest window display – it’s a chartreuse lover’s dream. Who doesn’t love chartreuse though?
