Quest for best moisturizer

dove moisturizer
Over at Not Martha, she was writing about how much she was looking forward to her visit to Canada to scoop up this Dove “Deep Moisture” cream. Wow. An American coveting a beauty product available in Canada but not the US? It.must.be.good. So, I bought it at the grocery store. It’s pretty good - light scent, goopy but absorbs quickly. Not bad.

Problem solved? Still no. I walk to and from work all winter and I sit in a dry office tower. My skin pretty much hates me. Sadly, it can’t be bribed with cupcakes either.

I know this is a bit late, but I am just “discovering” your site (I have been reading it for a few weeks now, but just had the time to really go back through and read it. By the way, I LOVE it!)

I have been having the same problems with finding a good cream for my skin. I recently started using Nivea cream (yes, that Nivea cream) after hearing the ladies at Lip Gloss & Laptops raving about it, noting that it had a striking resemblance to crème de la mer.

I don’t know how it compares to dove, but I have been using it for a few weeks now, and I am very happy with it.

I like nivea too - I used to use it a lot on my lips when I was studying music (played the flute) and chapped lips were a really big problem!

I just started using some clinique “Continuous Rescue Antioxidant Moisturizer” and it feels really good - and lasts all day which makes my face happy here in dry cubicle land.
