Paper flowers
I love fresh flowers, ok correction, I love *getting* fresh flowers. I thought this paper flower kit from the Paper Source might help to fill the void in between bouquets. I think I may still secretly like the robin’s egg and chocolate brown colour combination as well.

Funny signs – Quebec edition
I needed a quick holiday card, so I scanned my iPhoto collection. This was a photo that I took last year in Wakefield, Quebec. I am assuming that the sign really means “no hunting” and not “no shooting Christmas trees”. Seriously, don’t shoot Christmas trees.

Say it with twig
I’ve seen a lot of invitations and cards with bird’s nests. Holy, enough with the birds. I’d like to deconstruct that theme a little more and go with twigs. All the naturey goodness – none of the birds. I found this image in an invitation book, but I think it could be repurposed for lots of other greetings.

Cookie tree
Yet another Swedish post, that I do not understand but love nonetheless. Cookies + Christmas tree = yes! If you’re handy with translation, the instructions are here.

Field Guide to Christmas
The paper products coming out of Calgary from the Uppercase Gallery makes me rethink my initial reaction to the city. The wrapping paper, greeting cards and books! I *need* all of them.

Cult Design… pretty pictures for the non-Swedish speaking
I love these gift tags? ornaments? doo dads? from Cult Design. The one with the dried orange reminds me of the window display for Bel Fiore on Elgin Street right now. (Speaking of – I should snap a picture when I’m passing by the shop tonight. They have this amazing hanging “pile of sticks with decorative white gauzy leaves and dried oranges”. Looks better than it sounds.)

Update – the Bel Fiore window display:

DIY Photo Ornaments
I have been addicted to the Photojojo newsletter for several months and this idea has sent my paper trimmer flapping. I love these ornaments. Love.

Birding – Part 2
Maybe this bird thing isn’t so bad… in small doses – such as a paper band. I’ve paired a red Paper Source pocket folder with the birdy paper and tied it all with a deep pool ribbon (also from the Paper Source).

Identity trial
My latest order from the Paper Source arrived yesterday and included this label stamp. On several of my photo cards I’ve combined this label (inked in gold) with my name stamp. I like the look, but it’s a bit time consuming.
